Christian Dior is a French fashion designer. He was born on Jan. 21, 1905 in the small Normandy town of Granville, on the shore of La Manche the north-western France. His fashion work had started sales of drawings and sketches of hats, clothes, which were published in the magazine Le Figaro Illustrate. In 1938 his work was noticed by the famous couturier Robert Piquet, but the war prevented the development of his career and the Christian drafted into the army. In 1941 he returned to Paris and worked in a well-known fashion house Lucien Lelong. In 1942 he created his first perfume lab.
